Journalist, producer and wildlife photographer.
If it’s breaking, I can produce it.
I am a results-driven media professional with 10+ years of experience in broadcast journalism, editorial management and digital media strategy. I am a seasoned problem-solver and project manager focused on easing collaboration to get the job done efficiently. When there’s the crisis, you want me on the team.
From reporting on air to tracking packages, editing copy and social strategy, segment producing and video editing, I have done it.
Currently I am the Line Producer for Chris Jansing Reports on MSNBC Reports. I am responsible for the lead of the show, I help decide which stories we highlight and how we present them. My primary job is making sure the right reporter or guest is on TV at the right time. Because of the nature of our news cycle, I spend a lot of time preparing and re-arranging rundowns while on air, all so we can jump into breaking news at a moments notice.
To put it simply, I am an experienced problem solver with a track record of balancing multiple responsibilities with ease. Operating in a crisis is my specialty.
I learned how to do all that as a prime time news segment producer for Stay Tuned NOW with Gadi Schwartz. My primary role was breaking down news of day to help our viewers come to their own conclusions. We also had a knack for covering breaking news with ease. I've worked the voice-activated teleprompter during the show as I checked in guests, copyedited the show and communicated with producers. I also segment produced my own work all while running the control room.
Before that I segment produced for Morning News Now with Savannah Sellers and Joe Fryer. I also line produced for the show.
In the past I did the same writing job for MSNBC Weekends as an associate producer. I also edited and produced video for live and breaking news, all while juggling the anchor's social media presence.
In the past I was an assistant producer at NBC Latino, one of the NBCNews.com diversity verticals. I primarily handled breaking news. After work I covered live events through Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter videos for NBC Latino and NBC OUT. Often my articles would lead NBC Latino’s home page, and on my proudest days, NBCNews.com.
At Boston University I was the managing editor of The Daily Free Press, the independent student newspaper. I was also one of the Executive Producers of the BUTV10 morning news show, The Wire. These early experiences established my editorial judgment and production expertise.
My leadership extends beyond my professional roles. As Co-Chair of the OUT@News Employee Resource Group, I manage strategic initiatives and budgets while championing workplace inclusion and professional development. My Eagle Scout achievement demonstrates my long-standing commitment to leadership and community service.
When I’m not in the control room, I pursue my passion for wildlife photography, bringing the same attention to detail and storytelling instincts that define my journalism to capturing the natural world. This creative outlet informs my visual sensibility in professional productions and reflects my commitment to compelling storytelling in all its forms.
"If it's breaking, I can produce it." - This philosophy drives my approach to every story, combining technical expertise with editorial instincts to deliver news that informs, engages and empowers audiences to understand our complex world.
