As senior producer of this special, i wrote all the copy, wrote the banners and organized each block. In the control room I worked with the Executive Producer to communicate with the anchor, who filmed in London. After we taped, I cut down each interview, then chose which b-roll to include and where to put it.
I was also responsible to for organizing the marketing efforts day of air. I wrote intros for shows to advertise. I gathered and edited marketing elements like full screens for promos and social media.

Suing Northwestern University
Former cheerleader Hayden Richardson sued one of the country's top schools alleging she was not protected from sexual harassment. I produced this segment from beginning to end by reading the lawsuit, conducting pre-interviews, preparing the anchor with detailed notes and gathering elements. I worked closely with the standards department quickly to get this on air.

Special guest: actor and director LeVar Burton, on the 45th anniversary of Roots, considered the ultimate story of Black history, and was groundbreaking for its time.
Cuba’s Fight for Freedom: Patria Y Vida
Helped produce NBC News Now’s special report on the transformative protests in Cuba and in Cuban communities worldwide. I was responsible for writing questions, writing segments and planning. I found the clip of the anchor reporting from a Cuban liberation rally in the 1990s, which added historical context to the whole special.

Helped produce NBC News Now’s groundbreaking special report on the state of transgender rights from state to federal politics. I helped book guests, plan and produce segments. I pitched and produced the infographic segment explaining the sheer number of anti-transgender laws state legislatures are considering.
